We are pleased to announce the addition of a RIPE Atlas Anchor locally at NPIX Kathmandu called np-ktm-as45170. This is among the first Anchors to be hosted in South Asia, other two being hosted in Sri Lanka and India with APNIC’s support.
RIPE Atlas anchors provide valuable information about the local and regional connectivity and reachability of the Internet. Common tests include ping, traceroute, DNS, NTP etc over both IPv4 and IPv6.

NPIX and ISOC Nepal have come together to organize a 3 day workshop on IPv6 Design and Deployment capacity building workshop.
The workshop has being undergoing at Indreni, New Baneshwore from 25th December. Over 40 enthusiastic participants are attending the workshop.

NPIX and ISOC-Nepal are organizing an IPv6 Workshop. The objective of the workshop is to provide basic understanding of IPv6 protocol and tools to network engineers.
Who should attain?
Technicians and engineers working with providers and campus networks with a basic understanding of network operations, Internet technologies, OSI reference model, TCP/IP and router operating system.
Prerequisites Skills:
It is assumed that participants will have a working knowledge of IPv4 and TCP/IP in general.
Workshop Requirements:
Participants should bring their own Laptops.
